Keep In Mind:

  1. Kindergarten is open to 5-year-olds (on or before July 31, 2024).

  2. Kindergarten Round-Up date to be announced soon. Each registered student will receive a letter from the school they will attend with more information about the event.

Kindergarten Registration

NPPS offers in-person assistance for those unable to complete the Online Registration Process. 

For your child to attend Kindergarten at North Platte Public Schools, they must be 5 years of age on or before July 31, 2024 (birth dates from 8/1/2018 - 7/31/2019).

Existing Families

Existing family with students currently enrolled in NPPSD with a parent portal account may register their new student(s) by:

  1. Logging into an active Parent Portal account from a laptop or desktop computer.

  2. On the left column, click on "More" then click on Online Registration.

New Families

If you are new to North Platte Public School District or do not yet have a Parent Portal account, you may register your student(s) by:

  1. Using a laptop or desktop computer to access the Registration link.

Students currently enrolled in Bullpup Preschool do not need to complete an online registration form for Kindergarten enrollment. 

Those students will be automatically enrolled in their resident boundary school. 

School regulations require completing a request to attend form before consideration is given to assigning a student to an attendance area other than the student's home school. Consideration is given to requests that alleviate severe family hardships.

Registration

If parents choose to register their child from home, we recommend using a laptop or desktop computer web browser to register online. It is possible to register using a  smartphone or tablet device but it will require some scrolling to fill in the information.  Your web browser must be configured to allow popups from the site: campus.nppsd.org

Document Submission:  To complete the process of registering your student, we will need specific documents.  These can be uploaded while completing the registration but are not required to complete and submit the registration. 

Below is the list of the required documents.  If you can not upload these during the online registration process, complete the registration online and submit.  You can then bring these documents to the District Welcome Center (301 West F Street) or email them to welcomecenter@nppsd.org, at your earliest convenience. 

1.  Parent/Guardian proof of residence (i.e.:Utility bill with guardian/parent name and address) and Photo Id (driver's license)

2.  Student(s) Birth Certificate

3.  Current Immunizations, 

4.  Current Physical and eye exams (within six months of start date) completed in the State of Nebraska.  You can download the physical and eye exam form here.
