On Friday, August 4th, North Platte Public Schools welcomed back staff with a Back to School Event. Attendees were treated to lunch where multiple vendors were present in the commons of NPHS. After lunch, staff enjoyed performances from Blue and Gold Singers, the Cheerleaders, and Pacers. The NPPS school board, NPPS Foundation, and Superintendent Dr. Rhodes addressed NPPS faculty, then North Platte alumnus Lee Perez inspired with a great message about the power of words, the impact of great teachers, and academics. As everyone left the auditorium, they were given a gift from the North Platte Public Schools Foundation and the district. It was a positive and uplifting way to start what will be another great year for North Platte Public Schools.
